Our Quality

Our commitment in Foley’s is to provide safe and quality products to our customers. Foley’s in-house lab is staffed by experienced food technologists, who ensure that our highest standard of quality control is maintained.

Foley’s Candies meets the requirement of the SQF Code. Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a global benchmarking program is recognized by retailers and food service providers around the world. SQF ensures rigorous and credible food safety management system. We are happy to share our SQF Certification upon request.

All of our products are certified Kosher by the Orthodox Rabbinical Council of British Columbia. Our products carry one of these symbols as testament to our adherence to Kosher production guidelines.

In addition, some of our products carry the Pareve designation (Dairy Free). We invite you to contact us to find out more about our quality programs and certifications.

Andrew Elliot

President & CEO

Customer-driven General Manager with demonstrated success delivering impressive top and bottom line growth. A diverse professional background in publicly-owned, nationally-branded and entrepreneurial, privately-held organizations. Exceptional results driving top-line revenue through new customer acquisition and geographic expansion while delivering aggressive EBITDA growth through close cost management. A proven history in managing a complex product portfolio, while limiting commodity associated risk and achieving world-class customer service. Passionate about identifying and developing teams and talent and creating positive workplace culture.

Andrew shared his happiness by exploring with colleagues ways to continuously learn and improve.

Phil de Vooght

VP, Strategy and Business Development

Phil has been working in the consumer goods business for over 40 years with experience in large multi-national companies like Campbell Soup, Kimberly Clark and SC Johnson. He has also spent a significant portion of his career working for mid-market companies, most recently Foley’s Chocolates. His roles have mostly been in the sales and marketing functions; however he has also held general management positions with multi-functional responsibility. In addition to working and living in various regions in Canada, he worked in the US earlier in his career. Phil was born in Vancouver and is now living in Ontario.

Phil loves to share his happiness with others by sharing thoughts and ideas to help turn obstacles into opportunities..

Kathrin Brockmann

VP, Sales & Marketing

Kathrin, from the Brockmann’s Chocolate Family, has been working in the chocolate industry for over 20 years. She completed her industrial chocolatiering apprenticeship at the ZDS (Solingen, Germany), and has a Bachelor of Business  Administration from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). After gaining experience in Europe with various chocolate manufacturers, she began working at Brockmann’s Chocolates as Purchaser, then Director of Operations, and eventually as CEO. With the new Foley’s and Brockmann Chocolate Partnership, she now oversees the Customer Service and Product Development Teams. Today, she continues her family legacy by collaborating with various customers and by bringing their consumer and industrial products to life.

Kathrin shares her happiness by working with others to find creative solutions and by cooking a delicious meal for her family and friends.

Marcia Leung

VP, Finance & Administration

Originally emmigrated from Hong Kong, Marcia obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science from University of British Columbia. Marcia joined Foley’s in 1998 as an Assistant in Finance Department. Over the past 20+ years, Marcia witnessed the growth of Foley’s Candies and carries an invaluable institutional knowledge of the company. Marcia has held a CPA designation since 1996. Over her spare time, she enjoys travelling and exploring the vastness of the world with her family.

Marcia loves to share her happiness with others by sharing her travel experiences and the best deals she knows of with her colleagues and friends.

Haines Lee

VP, Quality Control & Assurance

Haines Lee joined Foley’s in April 2001. He has more than 20 years of hands-on industry and plant management experience in confectionery and chocolate.

Haines is responsible for the food safety and quality at Foley’s in providing strategic direction for the company’s quality operations including development, implementation, and leadership of the quality.

Simon Grotzke

Director of Operations

Simon has 20+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing Operations, and working with multinational enterprises such as Kerry Ingredients, Old Dutch Food, Hershey and Foleys Candies. He started his career in Engineering/Maintenance and later transitioned into senior operations roles. He graduated from the University of Wales with a Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Systems and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He has a passion for developing high performance teams focussed on continuous improvement and effective leadership.

Simon loves to share his happiness with others by cultivating a progressive and nurturing learning environment and of course, sharing the occasional laugh!

Carol Yeh

Manager of People & Culture

Meet Carol, our diversity and inclusion champion. Born in Taiwan and educated at the University of Michigan, Carol obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and has over 20 years of experience working and volunteering for nonprofit and charitable organizations. She currently serves on the Economic Advisory Committee at the City of Richmond and has held a CPHR designation since 2012. Carol is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and has been instrumental in enhancing and ensuring a respectful and inclusive workplace at Foley’s Candies and Brockmann’s Chocolate. Since joining us in December 2021, Carol has worked collaboratively with the management team to develop and implement various programs and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. 

Carol loves to share her happiness through sharing her knowledge and experiences with others, while also learning new ideas and skills from her colleagues. Her positive attitude and keen belief in the power of diversity make her an invaluable member of our team.
